About Tolaris GT

Tolaris GT 2026 is the fourth edition of the two-day Warhammer 40k tournament held in Pardubice. Our event is focused on competitive play at the highest level according to current rules, but at the same time we strive to keep the positive spirit of the community, which means players of all skill levels are welcome at our events. We therefore ask all our players: be welcoming to newcomers so that our community can grow. Everyone aims for the best possible result, but above all we want to enjoy the event — and "fair play" and "Play by Intent" should be (and will be) part of that experience.

Players registered on BCP must complete payment by 15.6.2026.

After this date, the spots of players who have not paid will be offered to those who signed up on the "waitlist". They must then complete payment by 20.6.2026, otherwise their registrations will be cancelled.

Official tournament language

The official languages of the tournament are Czech and English. If you are unable to communicate with your opponent due to a language barrier, please inform the judges, ideally before the game, and we will try to help. But don't worry — we all use the English needed to play, often without realising it.

Challenge

Issuing a challenge for the first round of the tournament is not allowed.

Pairing and standings

Players will be paired using the Swiss system. For the first round, we will try to avoid pairing players from the same gaming clubs as much as possible (we recommend filling in your club/team during BCP registration).

The tournament winner will be determined by W/L/D ranking. The second criterion is GP differential (0-20), the third is SOS. In case of a tie even after these three criteria, the result will be decided in a "shadow round", which will take place after the end of round 5.

Scoring in individual rounds

In every game, each player can score up to 100 points according to the W40k rules.

90 points can be earned by scoring in the game itself, and 10 points are awarded for submitting your list on time. The score difference is then converted to VP according to the table below.

Score differencePlayer A VPPlayer B VP
0-51010
6-10119
11-15128
16-20137
21-25146
26-30155
31-35164
36-40173
41-45182
46-50191
51+200

*These rules and the table may change due to the rules of 11th edition.

If the final VP score is 10:10, the game ends in a draw; otherwise, the player with the higher VP wins.

In case of an odd number of players, one of the players will receive a Bye, which means an automatic 20:0 win, but we will do our best to avoid this if possible.

The Bye will be awarded to the player with the lowest standing who has not yet received a Bye.

If the organizers discover any information or come to suspect that a match has been intentionally influenced or its result agreed upon in advance, they may impose penalties on both players.

Game rules

The tournament will be played according to the rules of 11th edition and WTC, including FAQs. Since the complete rules are not yet known, this section will be refined up until the rule freeze date.

WYSIWYG, 3D print / third-party / conversions and full paint

WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get)

WYSIWYG is required for all models used on the table. This means that all wargear and weapons listed in the roster must be visible on the model.

Exceptions: pistols, grenades, mines and similar accessories do not need to be visible.

Players are required to use clearly visible tokens to mark key abilities and rules such as oath targets, sticky objectives, hunter-kill missiles, T'au drones, once-per-game blanks, and others.

!If you are unsure whether a token is required for a given ability, contact the organizers before the start of the tournament.!

You must use the correct base sizes. With the arrival of 11th edition there may be some rebasing, so we ask everyone: check the currently valid base sizes!

3D print / third-party / conversions

Conversions and third-party models must be approved by the organizers in advance.

3D prints are allowed; the models must visually match the original or it must be clearly recognizable which model they represent. Models must be approved by the organizers in advance.

Models that do not meet the Non-WYSIWYG, 3D print / third-party / conversion standards or have not been approved in advance may be removed from the playing area by the organizers without warning, and may be banned from use for the entire tournament.

Full paint

Since the tournament will be played under the rules of 11th edition, which will be new and released close to the tournament start date, full paint is not mandatory at the event. The exception are 3D print / third-party and conversion models — these must meet the "battle ready" standard. That means models must be painted in at least three colours, including the bases. The colours must be applied meaningfully, not merely to bypass the three-colour rule. A clear intent to paint the model meaningfully must be visible. If you are not sure whether your model meets this rule, send it for approval.

Model approval

Model approval takes place on Discord in the "model approval" thread. To get a model approved, you need to upload high-quality photos. Upload photos of the model you want to approve next to the original model. If you do not own the original model, photos with a measuring tape must be added. Only Patrik Plšek and Petr Dressel can approve a model, and additional photos and measurements may be required. The organizers reserve the right to reject any model without giving a reason.

Tournament conduct and "Play by Intent"

It is the duty of every player to behave decently throughout the tournament, and especially during individual games. All players must communicate with their opponent politely, follow the organizers' instructions and follow the rules.

During the tournament we apply the "Play by Intent" principle:

  • Both players communicate their intentions and try to remind each other of their rules and options, so that both players are aware of all rules. Players make sure that their opponent understands the rules of their army.
  • You must not mislead your opponent or hide rules from them.
  • A judge will be available to resolve any disputes. If a judge is called, players must present all relevant rules for review. It is acceptable to bring a digital source of rules from a verified and current source.
  • The judge's decision on any matter regarding the rules is final.
  • A player may be punished for breaking the rules of the game, the rules set out in this event pack, or for inappropriate behaviour. In case of repeated offences, the organizer or judge may impose further penalties.

Penalty system

Players may be penalized in several ways during the event. We recommend calling a judge to any disputed situation, as resolving things retroactively is often very difficult and sometimes not possible.

Warning

The player is told what rule or behaviour rule they have broken. If they commit the same or another offence repeatedly, one of the stricter penalties will be applied.

Yellow card

The player is told what rule or behaviour rule they have broken. The player may be given a points penalty for the game in the range of 0–30 VP. If the penalty and offence is not related to a specific game, the player may be given a points penalty of 0–30 VP from their total tournament score.

Red card

The player is told what rule or behaviour rule they have broken. The player may be given a points penalty as with the yellow card, only in a higher range — 30–100 VP.

Ban / Disqualification

For particularly serious rule or behaviour violations, or for repeated violations, the player may be expelled from both the tournament venue and accommodation, and may be banned from attending future events.

Players may also be punished outside of the game itself for breaking the rules of the game or rules of good conduct. Penalties do not have to be applied in order, and it is up to the organizers to decide which option to apply.

Disqualification from the tournament or accommodation does not entitle the player to any refund of the entry fee or the accommodation reservation!

List submission and checks

Lists must be submitted on BCP by the set list submission date.

The list format must match the format from the official GW list-building app. Other formats are not accepted.

After pairing, players are required to check their opponent's list within the time slot specified in the schedule. Failure to do so may result in a points penalty.

If you discover any error in your opponent's list, please inform the organizers in the dedicated Discord thread or by email.

Accommodation

We offer accommodation at the dormitory directly at the venue. The price is 500 CZK per person per night.

Accommodation can be booked via the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SGt6ilTvstKdnP0hjz4j6QmWzLRjcnflXFzlxRIwoek/edit?gid=0#gid=0

Streaming
